This course is intended for those already using Microsoft Access 2007 to store and retrieve data who wish to explore queries, forms and reporting. Those who have attended the Access Intro course will find this follows on seamlessly from where that course ended.
The skills and knowledge acquired in Microsoft Access 2007 Level 1 are sufficient to create robust relational database systems, enter, edit and delete data in database files, produce information in forms and reports and generate queries on the data. Microsoft Access 2007 Level 1 is designed for people who need to know how to create effective databases and to manipulate data to provide viable information.

This publication is intended for people who wish to prepare for Module 5 - Database of the ECDL/ICDL Syllabus (Version 4.5) using Microsoft Access 2007. In Module 5 the candidate will learn about the main concepts of databases and be able to demonstrate the ability to use a database on a computer. The candidate will be able to create and modify tables, queries, forms and reports, and prepare outputs ready for distribution. The candidate will be able to relate tables and retrieve and manipulate database information using the query and sort tools available in the application.
