Description

This intermediate-level tutorial is a suitable follow-on from the Introduction to Programming Java Applets CD.

Prerequisites

Some knowledge of programming is recommended.

Topics covered
  • Introduction to the pre-written objects included as an important component of the Java Developers Kit.
  • Examples of code and cross-linked interactive definitions of Java Packages (also known as Core Libraries) illustrate how to streamline the programming process.
  • An explanation of the Abstract Windows Toolkit and other important packages is included.
Notes
  • Note that the course can only be used on a PC with a CD drive; a sound card is recommended but not essential.
