Managing Safely is ideally suited to managers, research supervisors, administrators with safety responsibilities and Departmental Safety Officers across all sectors of the University. 2010 Year End Workshop In addition, there will be a Year End workshop to assist those members of staff who are new to dealing with the Year End processes for their department. The workshop will be held in the morning on Friday 25 June 9:30am - 12:30pm at Greenwich House in Training Room 2. Places are limited and on a first come first served basis.

During the session you will:

be introduced to the year-end instructions set out in the Financial Procedures Manual appreciate the importance of ensuring that transactions are recorded in the correct financial year, and understand how to achieve this use worked examples to gain a practical understanding of the procedures relevant to your Department have an opportunity to seek advice on specific points To reserve your place now, please go to our online booking office or contact finance.training@admin.cam.ac.uk.

Through this series of Home Design Masterclasses you will lean the fundementals of good home design. Session 1 will take a look at colours and will guide you as to how to use complementary colours in you home. In session 2, prepare to get your hands dirty as you learn the basics of furniture restoration and upcycling. Session 3 will allow you talk to the experts and generate some mood boards for your home. Soft furnishing are the topic for session 4 where you will get to grips with fabric and learn some basic sewing techniques. Finally, in session 5 you will take a look at the garden and how to make the best of your outdoor space.

This course will benefit anyone in a work environment and is designed to provide candidates with an understanding of health and safety requirements placed on employers and employees. If you require training before the next planned course please contact the course leader as it may be possible to arrange some training earlier if there is enough demand. There will be a nominal fee (20 ukp) for certification with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health if you are a member of the University. If the University is not your employer, please contact the course leader for details and fee. Please note candidates must bring their University Card or another form of photo ID with them on the day in order to be able to attend the course.
